Sculptures, Murals, and Installations

My illustrative style also translates to larger-scale works of art, including sculptures and murals.

Paperscape

I created an origami-themed installation for Love Burn 2024 in Miami, Florida. Viewers were invited to embrace the playful energy of precise folds and whimsical shapes as they perched on a larger-than-life, origami-shaped frog amidst curtains of folded Tyvek cranes.

Dimensions:
Pergola: 7’L x 7’W x 8.4’H
Frog: 2.5’L x 2.5’W x 1.7’H
Materials: Wood, paint, Tyvek, fishing line
Year: 2024

Trash Can-vas Mural

I was selected to design and paint a three-sided mural for Plant City’s “Trash Can-vas” project, which sought to beautify the city’s Main Street with a freshly painted dumpster. My design features Florida-native flora and fauna, including vibrant Black-Eyed Susans, beautyberry branches, a green treefrog, and Florida’s state bird: the mockingbird.

Dimensions:
Sides: 6.8 x 6.3 feet
Front: 6 x 4.2 feet
Materials: Paint
Year: 2023

Hangers

Hangers is a series of acrylic tree-hangings designed to celebrate the spirit of the swamp through four icons: the mushroom, snake, lips, and cicada. I created this installation to hang between the trees at the Suwannee Hulaween music festival in Live Oak, FL.

Dimensions: 4 x 4 feet each
Materials: Acrylic, vinyl film
Year: 2022

Dirty Laundry

A mixed-media installation featuring symbols of traditional female gender roles and hand-embroidered lingerie with phrases from my personal diary pages. Dirty Laundry took place at Alexander Glassworks in St. Petersburg, FL with an opening reception as the culmination of my 2022 Individual Artist Grant, awarded by the St. Pete Arts Alliance.

Dimensions: 30 x 50 feet
Materials: Mixed media
Year: 2022

Storm Drain Mural

The City of Pinellas Park selected me to design and paint a mural as part of their Storm Drain Mural Project, which encourages environmental awareness with “only rain down the drain”. With bold colors and a larger-than-life composition, my storm drain is attention-getting and easily recognizable from the road and surrounding areas.

Dimensions: 11 x 6 feet
Materials: Paint
Year: 2022

The Hulalith

A take on the mysterious monolith, The Hulalith is a three-sided, mirrored sculpture created for the Suwannee Hulaween music festival in Live Oak, FL. Created in collaboration with Alex Kaufman and Bailey Gumienny.

Dimensions: 8 x 4 feet per side
Materials: Steel, acrylic, dichroic film
Year: 2021
